Machine learning-influenced music production will revolutionise the music industry through til 2030 - prioritising accessibility and ultimately creating a unique genre.
This week was about finalising my work and creating two distinct outcomes from my research: an article and a supporting video. I edited my final insight slightly so it would have a more significant impact on my article.
When writing my article, my previous work reviewing my research really came in handy. I decided to use a quote from my dad Young Ly from around 4 minutes into our talk, as well as these precedent information: SKYGGE, 'Your Brain on Music' by Alan Harvey, and the interview about the future by Jim Morrison.
I had previously included this quote from Sam Gribben: "I think that there will be many people listening to music generated by AI. For example, there are many places where music fulfills a particular need, like playing in the background of a cafe, in a short film, or on hold on a phone line. But there will always be a place for an artist using music to express themselves. Throughout time, there have been professional musicians, and I think that will continue." concerning AI taking the music industry from humans. I had also included a segment about this in my documentary. But after reviewing my work against my insight, I realised it wasn't entirely relevant, so I revised it. This part got replaced by the paragraph about Jim Morrison's interview in my article.

For my article, I used two graphics: a photograph and an icon. I found Grammarly really helpful during the article writing stage.
After I had an almost-perfect article draft, I went on to the video. I wanted it to cover the same things as the article, so I made an ordered list of key talking points.

Final thoughts
I ended up slightly deviating from this list, but it is still on track with what I wanted.
I had never used Adobe Premiere Pro before this. A lot of learning and research was done in terms of video production regarding audio levels to ensure everything sounded okay.
I had explicit verbal permission from each of my interviewees to record our interaction and use it in a video for my assignment. In the video, I used music from Bensound and the song 'Ballad of the Shadow' from SKYGGE. I used two videos from Pressmaster. I also referenced a DAW description from CareersInMusic.
